Hamed Traore initially joined AFC Bournemouth on loan in January 2023 and they made his stay permanent later that year.
The attacking midfielder struggled in the first half of last season and the Cherries sent him out on loan to Napoli in the winter 2024 market. His situation didn’t improve at the Serie A side and he returned to Bournemouth in the summer.
Andoni Iraola left the 24-year-old out of his core plans for this season and Bournemouth sent him out on loan to AJ Auxerre in August. He’s impressed for the Ligue 1 side, scoring six goals and registering an assist from 12 league games.
His ‘excellent performances’ for Auxerre this season have caught AS Monaco’s attention. That’s according to Sky Italia journalist Manuele Baoicchini, relayed by Area Napoli.
He claims Monaco have already made contact with the Ivory Coast international and also their Ligue 1 counterpart. Auxerre don’t have an option or obligation to make his stay permanent, and therefore, Monaco can negotiate a deal with Bournemouth.
At this point in time, Monaco haven’t made advances in their negotiations for Traore’, who has a contract with the Premier League side lasts until 2028.
Baoicchini says Monaco will have to decide whether to present an offer in January or wait for the Bournemouth man until next summer.
