Doğukan Sinik has received a bid to leave Hull City, according to reports from his home country.
Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu writes that Hatayspor made an ‘official offer’ to land the 25-year-old.
It’s said they want him on a loan until the end of the season, and it seems there’s still no response from Hull City about that bid.
A comeback home wouldn’t be something new for Sinik, who’s living a back and forth situation for the past few years.
Back in the summer of 2022, Hull City spent €4m to sign him from Antalyaspor. He stayed at the club for six months, and got loaned back to his old club for the rest of the 2022/23 season.
Sinik then returned to the Tigers last summer, but hasn’t been of much use to the club. He had 22 minutes on the pitch in the match against Ipswich Town in October, and that’s all the playing time he had this season under Liam Rosenior.
That’s why a return to Turkey is on the table again, and it would be no surprise to see Hull letting him go.
