With the sale of Matthijs de Ligt still a hot topic in Italy and Juventus almost resigning themselves to the fact they will lose the Dutchman, replacements are being looked at.
One of those has been Gabriel Magalhães, currently contracted to Arsenal, and there have been multiple reports about the Serie A side wanting to sign the Brazilian.
In fact, Calciomercato.it claim ‘there have been new contacts’ with the Gunners about the centre-back, who is ‘at the top’ of Juventus’ list.
However, Arsenal aren’t going to let their defender go on the cheap, and Mikel Arteta’s side ‘do not seem willing to go below a valuation of £40m’
Not only that, but the London side have been rather ‘tepid’ when it comes to the idea of including players as counterparts, especially following the whole January ordeal with Arthur.
This suggests Arsenal would only want cash for Gabriel since they’d need to replace him themselves, which, right now, Juventus doesn’t seem willing to cough up.
