Back on Monday, Turkish outlet Fanatik revealed Besiktas’ interest in Tottenham Hotspur player Ivan Perisic.
It was claimed that with the winger not being in Spurs’ plans for the next season, the Istanbul side made a request to get information about the cost for the operation.
It turns out that Fanatik is now back with an update, this time claiming a ‘first contact’ was made with Perisic.
The outlet once again claims the player is not expected to be at Tottenham next season, and that’s why his agent has started evaluating offers.
Perisic’s salary worth €9m per season is something that scares Besiktas, but it’s still said that the club want to ‘sit at the table’ and bring the arguments to convince him.
None of the stories mentions potential negotiations with Tottenham, so it doesn’t seem like reaching a deal with Spurs would be a major problem to get this transfer done.
The London side signed him for free from Inter Milan last summer, and if they don’t want to keep him now, it’s only fair they make his departure easy, perhaps at a low price.
