There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Galatasaray are showing interest in Crystal Palace defender Tyrick Mitchell ahead of the January transfer window.
The Turkish champions are expected to be in the market for a left back in the new year after releasing former Sunderland defender Patrick van Aanholt in the summer.
A Spor today report on Galatasaray’s pursuit of the Crystal Palace player and say the Istanbul side have already started attempts to sign the 25-year-old ahead of the next transfer window.
It’s claimed Cimbom are looking to enter into transfer talks with both the Premier League side and Mitchell’s agent as they look to sign an experienced left back.
Galatasaray missed out on Aston Villa’s Lucas Digne during the last transfer window, and it seems that they will again look to the English top flight to solve their issues in the position.
However, it’s very unlikely Crystal Palace would sell Mitchell halfway through the season and wouldn’t risk losing a key player despite his contract situation.
Mitchell has made 14 appearances for the Eagles this season and is contracted to the London side until next summer.
