According to Sdna.Gr, Olympiacos have identified Nottingham Forest’s Joao Carvalho as a target if captain Kostas Fortounis leaves the Greek club this summer.

The Greek website claim Fortounis looks likely to leave the club with West Ham United set to make another offer for the 26 year old. Subsequently Olympiacos are now looking at possible replacements, with the Nottingham Forest attacker midfielder an option.

Olympiacos are still hoping to tie down Fortounis on a long term deal with his current contract set to expire in June 2020. However, the interest from West Ham has turned the player’s head and at this stage of his career he could make the move to the Premier League.

There have been reports the Hammers are prepared to pay €17m for the Greek intentional.

Carvalho joined Nottingham Forest from Benfica last summer for €15m and played 38 games for the Championship club in his debut season.

The 22 year old is under contract at the City Ground until June 2023.
