Following Watford’s relegation to the Championship, it’s natural to see many clubs coming for the Hornet’s best players.
Something interesting comes from Italy today, where it’s claimed that Genoa are interested in Adam Masina.
Newspaper Corriere Dello Sport has a story with several rumours from the transfer market, and claims that the Serie A side are after the 26-year-old.
There are no further details on the chase, with the outlet only pointing out that Watford couldn’t manage to stay in the Premier League for the next season.
Despite being born in Morocco, Adam Masina has Italian citizenship, and played for Bologna from his time at the academy until his move to Watford on a €5m deal in January 2008.
The 26-year-old missed many games at the start of this season, but ended up being the Hornets’ first choice for the left-back position, making 26 appearances in the Premier League.
Masina has a contract with Watford until 2023, and it still isn’t said how much the Hornets would demand or whether Genoa are ready to bid for his transfer.
