Rui Patricio A Bola August 2ndAs Pep Guardiola’s quest for a goalkeeper continues, the European papers can’t stop linking names to Manchester City. Even those who have already been speculated are being mentioned again, and that’s the case of Sporting’s Rui Patrício.

City’s interest had already been reported in July, but A Bola claims it once again on Tuesday, saying Sporting are even looking for replacements already.

The Portuguese club are reportedly keeping an eye on Salvatore Sirigu from PSG and Benoit Costil from Rennes.

They would demand at least €20m for the 28-year-old, who was just named the best goalkeeper of the 2016 Euro championship.

It isn’t much different from what was reported weeks ago, as the only news here is that Sporting would be looking for a replacement. Once again, it’s said that Patrício would only leave for a big European club, and City are a side who fit the demand.

A Bola have the story on their Tuesday front page, and they’re clearly not ready to let this one go.
