For the past couple of months, we’ve been covering reports from Argentina covering how good Alexis Mac Allister has been for Boca Juniors.

The midfielder is currently loaned out by Brighton & Hove Albion, and since the spell runs until the summer of 2020, the Buenos Aires side are already worried about his departure.

There’s been recent claims Boca Juniors will have the chance to match any offers the Seagulls get for the player, but it’s very unlikely they can afford such a permanent signing.

And today, website Depo brings one more story wondering about how much the La Bombonera side would have to pay to have Mac Allister.

They recall that Spartak Moscow offered €20m to sign him this year, and ask how much he will be worth in a couple of months, since he’s been in great form.

It’s claimed that Boca Juniors’ new board, which will take charge after the elections, are considering buying Mac Allister from Brighton before the loan spell expires.

Now would Brighton be interested in selling a player who’s never featured for the club? We guess that would have a lot do with his attempt to get a work permit for the Premier League.
