Hurriyet report Galatasaray are targeting Besiktas forward Ryan Babel as it’s looking likely Henry Onyekuru will return to Everton at the end of the season.
The Nigeria international is currently on loan with the Galatasaray from Everton due to work permit issues.
After a promising start with the Istanbul club, Onyekuru has struggled to maintain his form and disappointed in last weekend’s derby clash against Besiktas.
Subsequently Hurriyet say Galatasaray are looking to replace the Everton loanee by signing Babel on a free transfer at the end of the season.
The Turkish newspaper claim Galatasaray officials have met with Babel’s representatives over a potential move and both parties will continue talks over the coming weeks.
There have been recent claims Galatasaray wanted to loan Onyekuru for another season, but it seems likely he will return to Goodison Park next summer.
However, Bayern Munich have been linked with the youngster in the past week, with reports they watched him last Wednesday.
Onyekuru has made 16 appearances for Galatasaray this season, scoring 4 goals.
