Sporx claim Fenerbahçe will target Everton attacker Kevin Mirallas if they fail to loan Sunderland’s Jeremain Lens for another season. The Everton star was linked with Fenerbahçe during the last summer window, but nothing materialised.

Mirallas is getting games under Everton manager Ronald Koeman, and the 29-year-old was impressive during his side’s 4-2 win over Leicester City at the weekend.

Mirallas’ current deal with Everton will expire in 2018 and the Fenerbahçe board think they can land him on the cheap in the summer. The Belgian has been admired by Fenerbahçe for some time after the Turkish club first tried to sign him while he was playing for Olympiacos.

Fener are already in negotiations with Sunderland for Lens, but the Black Cats need to know if they have Premier League status for next season before making a decision. The club’s preference would be to sign Lens on loan from Sunderland given his form since arriving in Turkey, but Mirallas is a decent back up plan.

Mirallas has played 29 games for Everton this season, scoring 4 goals and provided 6 assists. It’s probably unfair for him to be seen as a back-up plan to the Sunderland outcast, and Fener will likely be in for a shock if they feel a cheap deal is available from Everton.
