Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Fábio Silva is set to join Anderlecht on a season-long loan deal.
That’s according to journalist Pedro Sepulveda, who says the Portuguese youngster will join the Belgian club with ‘no option to buy’.
According to his information, Silva will move to Anderlecht on loan for the season, with them set to pay his full salary for the duration of the loan deal.
At this point, there is no mention of him heading for a medical or any contracts being signed, just that a loan deal has been agreed with Wolves for the 19-year-old.
Silva arrived at Molineux from Porto in a £36m deal back in September 2020 but has struggled in the Premier League, with just four goals and six assists in 62 game in all competitions for Wolves to date.
It seems Bruno Lage’s side have now decided it would be best for him to move on, albeit temporarily, to get the game time and aid his development.
Anderlecht has become something of a proving ground for strikers in recent years, with the likes of Joshua Zirkzee and Lukas Nmecha both heading there on loan before enjoying successful seasons and moving on, and perhaps Wolves are hoping for a similar outcome for Silva.
