According to a report in the Dutch media, FC Utrecht are already looking to life without Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Klich.

The Poland international has spent the second half of the season on loan with the Dutch club, but will return to Elland Road this summer.

Ed.nl report FC Utrecht are in the market for a midfielder in this transfer window due to the pending departures of Klich, Yassin Ayoub and Zakaria Labyad.

It’s claimed Feyenoord midfielder Simon Gustafson is high on their list and they are determined to land the Swede.

However, Feyenoord aren’t keen to sell to domestic competitor and at this stage may only listen to offers from foreign clubs. The Rotterdam club also believe they can get more money if Gustafson moves abroad, but FC Utrecht haven’t given up signing the player say Ed.nl.

Klich joined Leeds United in the last summer window, but failed to make an impact in the six months he was at the club. Despite his set back recent comments from the Pole have indicated he’s ready to fight for a place in the Leeds United side next season.

There had been claims when the 27 year old first moved that he could make it permanent, but the departure of Thomas Christiansen always made a return likelier, and Utrecht are moving on.
