Saturday’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport has a feature on targets Inter Milan could sign during the summer window.
There’s some Premier League interest in the there, with Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante now seen as an achievable option, even if Chelsea are considered hard to negotiate with.
Tottenham are also difficult in the market, and that’s why it won’t be easy for Inter to sign Tanguy Ndombele. Gazzetta say Inter have known ‘for weeks’ that the midfielder is leaving Spurs this summer, with an intermediary trying to seek out a new club for the Frenchman.
According to the report, Tottenham want a minimum of €50m, and this is seen as high right now. Inter have tried to offer Milan Škriniar in a swap operation, however, Gazzetta say this hasn’t had the desired impact, with the insinuation Spurs aren’t so keen on signing the defender.
With Kante and Ndombele seen as difficult to sign, the Serie A club are looking at other options, including Atletico Madrid’s Thomas Partey. His release clause is €50m, but there’s a belief he may be available for less.
When they likely find out that’s not possible, another attempt for Ndombele could be on the cards.
