Espanyol are fretting about the future of three of their players: Mario Hermoso, Borja Iglesias and Marc Roca.

One of them has been repeatedly linked with Arsenal over the past week or so, and on Sunday, Mundo Deportivo reiterate interest from the Gunners.

Once again they’re named alongside Bayern Munich and PSG and it doesn’t feel like a great deal, or anything, has actually happened since the claims emerged.

Hermoso is the most wanted Espanyol player, after an excellent season for the Barcelona club. That’s why the worry around his future is greatest, as top clubs hover to sign him.

Mundo Deportivo say keeping the player will be ‘complicated’ for Espanyol, and if Sergio Ramos continues his latest strop and decides to leave Real Madrid, it’s thought they could use their buyback option.

Something needs to happen with the 23 year old this summer because his contract ends in June 2020, and whilst his club don’t particularly want to see the back of him, they’d prefer getting money than risking a future free transfer.

Arsenal’s chances look reasonably good if they actually do something about it.
