Claims on Tottenham and Boca Juniors’ Wilmar Barrios are spreading out around Argentina, if only slowly.

It all started in June when it was claimed Spurs had reached an agreement with the player’s camp for a transfer, and the switch would likely happen in the following winter window.

Then last week a similar claim resurfaced in Argentina and now it’s once again spreading.

El Deportivo Crack make it very clear their story comes from their own information, but they then mirror claims of an agreement already being in place with the player, and Spurs preparing a €23m offer to send to Boca Juniors.

What’s added is that whilst that offer hasn’t yet been received, Boca ‘know the offer’ is on the way. They’re aware of the situation and it’s just a matter of time before the interest is firmed up with the Argentina club.

It’s setting ‘alarms’ off at the Buenes Aires side, and Barrios has ‘agreed to leave’ with his ‘destiny’ being at the Premier League club.
