Napoli are interested in the signing of Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Adama Traore, according to reports from Italy.
Newspaper Il Mattino (via Gonfialarete) today writes about the possibility of the Serie A side losing Hirving Lonzano, as his contract with the club is about to expire and the lack of an agreement for a renewal could speed up his departure from the club.
Napoli are said to be looking around for a potential replacement, and that’s where the Wolves player comes in.
It’s said Traore is a profile they’ve ‘kept an eye on’, especially because he’s been living a similar situation at the Molineux.
The Spaniard recently returned to Wolverhampton following a loan spell at Barcelona, and failed to have the impact he used to at the Premier League side, with only two goals and no assists in 14 appearances this season.
Traore’s contract with Wolves expires in the summer, and with no agreement for a renewal so far, Napoli might feel like they could end up losing a star for free in Lozano, but could also replace him with a free agent as well.
