Paris Saint-Germain remain in contact with Everton’s Moise Kean and could make a fresh bid to sign him permanently in the summer transfer window.
That’s according to ButFootballClub, who say PSG chief Leonardo remains keen on the Italian following his successful loan spell in the French capital last season.
Kean is currently on with Juventus, who signed the striker on a two-year loan in the summer in a deal that includes a compulsory purchase option next year.
His return to Turin has hardly been a successful one, though, with the striker struggling to recapture his old form and now completely supplanted by January signing Dusan Vlahovic.
There are doubts about whether they want him long-term, which is an issue given they are locked into an agreement to pay €28m next year.
Recent reports in Italy have stated that they are thinking of paying that early and then moving the player on, and PSG may now have provided them with an option to do so.
ButFootballClub report that PSG are ‘keeping a close eye’ on the Everton loanee after he proved he can be a ‘valuable asset’ in the back-up role last season.
According to their information, contact between the French giants and the striker’s entourage ‘has not been broken’ after Leonardo and co made a new approach in the last winter transfer window.
They’re seemingly keeping an eye on whether Juventus would be happy to sell this summer and, if they are, could make their move.
That would, of course, suit Everton perfectly, as they could be set to get the €28m from Juventus a year earlier than anticipated.
At first it made no sense for the Italian club to pay that a year early, particularly when they’re eyeing signings elsewhere, but if PSG were to guarantee they could get their money back straight away, it’s a deal worth doing.
