Club keen to sign second player from Leeds United – Really taking advantage of promotion failure

Three days ago, Diario de Sevilla reported Real Betis were exchanging documents with Leeds United to sign Marc Roca on a permanent transfer.

The midfielder is set to return to the La Liga side after spending last season on loan with them. He isn’t the only Leeds player on their agenda for the summer window.

Spanish journalist Alonso Rivero took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to claim Real Betis have positioned themselves to sign Leeds’ Diego Llorente.

The centre-back spent the last 18 months on loan at AS Roma. Manuel Pellegrini’s side have to be wary of the Italian club as Rivero says they may move to extend his stay.

PTV Sevilla, relayed by El Desmarque, state the Andalusian club like the 30-year-old ‘very much’.

Real Betis sporting director Manu Fajardo is working on signing at least two centre-backs, one young and another experienced, and Llorente would be the latter.

Leeds United failing to secure promotion is seen as a big positive for Real Betis in an attempt to sign Llorente, just like it was with Roca.
