The future of Isco is quite uncertain at Real Madrid, and it has become a huge talking point in Spain with his contract ending in 2018.

There have been conflicting reports in Spain regarding Isco’s new contract. While a few have reported Real Madrid have offered an extension to the 24-year-old, others have denied it.

Isco has been linked with a move to the Premier League several times in his career, and to most of the big clubs in England. Most recently, the Real Madrid star was linked with a move to Tottenham, and latest reports in Spain suggest they might get a chance to sign him in the near future.

Mauricio Pochettino has been said to be keen on Isco, and the Spaniard would help provide Harry Kane with excellent service. If the interest was ever true, Christian Eriksen’s poorer form this season may well magnify it.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Real Madrid could sell Isco to a big club next summer and would prefer a Premier League club.

Mundo Deportivo say Real Madrid could insert a clause that’d make it very expensive for Barcelona to sign Isco from his new club. However, it’s been reported Isco could also renew his contract at Real Madrid or leave for free once his contract expires at the club.

The Spaniard is reportedly asking for €10m/season wages to renew his contract, and it remains to be seen if Real Madrid will agree to that. The wages issue would likely also be an issue for Tottenham, with El Confidencial previously reporting Spurs dumped the idea when hearing Isco’s financial demands.
