TRT Spor journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu has claimed Fenerbahce are interested in signing Norwich City attacker Emi Buendia.
The Turkish side are in the market for a winger before the window closes on Monday and they are reportedly interested in loaning the Argentine.
Sabuncuoglu says the player doesn’t want to play in the Championship this season and subsequently he is a target for the Yellow Canaries.
However, a loan agreement will be hard to pull off for the Super Lig club, and because of their financial situation a permanent deal isn’t an option.
Buendia was a key player for Daniel Farke’s side last season, and it’s perhaps surprising the 23-year-old hasn’t been the subject of more signing attempts in this window.
Spanish side Villarreal have also been linked with the Norwich City man, but there interest hasn’t seen anything concrete happen.
He made 36 appearances for Norwich City in the league last season, scoring one goal and providing seven assists, and his contract at Carrow Road will expire at the end of June 2024.
