According to a claim in the Turkish media, Galatasaray have stepped up their pursuit of Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Mario Lemina.
The Super Lig leaders have been linked with the player in recent weeks following reports he wants to leave Wolves in this transfer window.
Fanatik today report on the latest developments regarding Galatasaray’s interest in Lemina and it’s stated the club are ‘investigating conditions’ to sign the player in the coming days.
The Turkish media outlet report Lemina is on Gala’s agenda as they look to bring in a central midfielder. With the recent injury to summer signing Gabriel Sara, the Istanbul giants are keen to sign the Wolves player.
Turkish pundit Ali Ece has also spoken about Galatasaray’s interest in the 31-year-old and he believes he would be a good signing.
Speaking to Haber Sarikirmizi, Ece said Lemina has become a better player since his previous loan spell with Gala and that he would have more success at the club this time around.
“Lemina has matured even more compared to his performance at Galatasaray. He uses the ball better, his tackles are more successful. Gabriel Sara and Torreira have a little bit of his characteristics. He can make plays, he can defend. He will definitely be more successful than he was when he first arrived,” said Ece.
Lemina has made 18 appearances for Wolves this season, scoring one goal. He’s contracted to the Premier League side until the summer, but they have the option to extend for another season.
