Back over the weekend, reports from the Brazilian media claimed there’s now a partnership between São Paulo and Manchester City’s owners.

IG Esporte journalist Samir Carvalho wrote there’s an agreement for a potential exchange of players in the future.

In that deal, São Paulo would take five footballers from City Group clubs on loan. Meanwhile, Manchester City and their satellite clubs would have the priority over any youngsters from the Brazilian side’s academy.

With the Tricolor having one of the most traditional centres for development of youth teams in Brazil, that would certainly be very interesting for Sheikh Mansour’s sides. However, the news is now being dismissed.

It was first São Paulo who, when responding to the report, claimed there’s no such deal between the parties, followed by Jorge Nicola, who explained with a story on Youtube, also saying the agreement doesn’t exist.

The journalist claims to have spoken to a director from the Brazilian club who turned down the rumour as well.

It’s confirmed, however, that there’s from São Paulo interest in two players from Manchester City, as Nahuel Ferraresi and Nahuel Bustos, who have both returned from loan this summer, are targets for the Tricolor.
