According to claims from Italy today, Manchester United could soon be losing one of their chief scouts to Serie A side AS Roma.
Website Voce Giallorossa reports that the Italian side are thinking of signing Marco De Sisti, who’s been working for the Red Devils since 2007.
There seems to be no advanced talks for now, as it’s only claimed that they have him as an option to take the job of chief scout.
Voce Giallorossa says that De Sisti first worked both for the academy and for the first team at Manchester United. But since the club’s expansion in the scouting area in 2016, he’s been the Italian chief scout only for the first team.
In the past few years, the only players who were signed by Manchester United directly from Italian clubs were Matteo Darmian, Sergio Romero and Paul Pogba.
Marco De Sisti is the son of Giancarlo De Sisti, who played for Roma and had a great international career, winning the Euros for Italy in 1968 and runner-up at the 1970 World Cup.
