Among the positive highlights in Manchester United’s win against Charlton on Tuesday evening, there was the debut of Facundo Pellistri.

Signed from Penarol on an €8.5m deal in 2020, the player had never been given the chance of playing for the Red Devils outside of friendlies, especially because of the couple of loans he’d been involved in.

Even with a few minutes on the pitch, he still managed to make an assist in Manchester United’s 3-0 win, and showed signs that he could be part of Erik ten Hag’s team.

News from Spain, however, claim there’s a chance Pellistri could soon leave Old Trafford, as Valencia are reportedly interested in him.

The claims come from Onda Cero, covered by Deporte Valenciano, and say the Mestalla side want the youngster on a loan with an option to buy.

The outlet highlights that Pellistri hasn’t been given many chances to play at Manchester United, and since he appears to be a cheap option in the market, he shows up as a target for the club.

Manchester United, however, are ‘not going to make it easy at first’. Valencia seem to be yet to engage in talks for the signing, so we shall see how the Red Devils will react to that.
