VfL Wolfsburg are eyeing a move for AFC Bournemouth star Arnaut Danjuma this summer as they look to add a winger to their squad.
That’s according to Kicker, who say the Dutchman is one of the names on the Bundesliga side’s list.
They explain that Wolfsburg have been searching for a winger who can provide ‘speed and depth’ to their squad for some time, with managers Jörg Schmadtke and Marcel Schäfer working hard to find a solution.
While it is not their sole focus, they are ‘intensively occupied’ with several options, and Bournemouth’s Danjuma is one of them.
He’s been linked with the club ‘for some time’ and remains on their list of possible targets, although the money is an issue.
Kicker explains that British transfers are ‘expensive’ and Bournemouth are likely to demand a big fee for a player who cost them £14.8m in 2019 and managed 17 goals in the Championship last season.
That’s seemingly an issue for Wolfsburg, although it’s not mentioned how much money they have to spend on a deal.
Either way, the interest is there, and perhaps if they can’t get other targets such as Jakub Kaminski, they will increase their efforts for Danjuma.
