According to a claim in the Turkish media, Trabzonspor have stepped up their pursuit of Middlesbrough midfielder Dan Barlaser.
In recent days the 27-year-old has been linked with a move to the Super Lig side following reports of contact with the player.
61 Saat today report Trabzonspor have intensified transfer talks with both the Middlesbrough player and his agent. The Turkish media outlet say an offer has already been made to Barlaser and there is a strong possibility he could head to Turkey this summer.
As it stands there are no reports regarding what the Trabzon club are prepared to offer Middlesbrough.
Trabzonspor have been linked with a number of overseas targets in recent weeks and bringing in Barlaser as a domestic player appeals to them. Barlaser qualifies as Turkish through his father, and he’s also represented the country at youth level.
Barlaser made 40 appearances for Boro last season, scoring 2 goals. He’s contracted to the Championship side until June 2026 after only joining the club last summer from Rotherham United.
