AC Milan sound really sure of signing Tiemoué Bakayoko from Chelsea on a permanent deal.

Currently with 25 appearances for the Rossoneri this season, the Frenchman is convincing the club board to make an effort to keep him in Italy after the end of his loan spell.

Now Sport Italia (via Calcio Mercato) claims there have been ‘intense’ contacts between Milan and Chelsea so the clubs can find a fee for the transfer.

Although there’s a buying option of €35m included in the loan’s contract, Paolo Maldini and Leonardo would be working to get the amount down to €30m only.

Earlier this week, other reports from the Italian press had already claimed that Milan were pretty set on buying the player, and even though the €35m sounded a lot at first, they now think he’s worth the full amount.

But, apparently, a little discount would be well accepted by the Serie A side.
