At the rate the Italian press are publishing stories, if Milan don’t sign a Chelsea player in January or June of 2019, then maybe sources need to be double checked.
As things stand, the Serie A side are said to be interested in three of Maurizio Sarri’s players: Gary Cahill, Cesc Fabregas and Andreas Christensen.
While the first two are available to discuss contracts in January, the Dane is not, meaning any move would most likely have to be a loan.
Despite this, Gazzetta dello Sport claim that’s who Milan are ‘most insistent’ on, mostly due to his age, but also because both teams would get something out of it.
It’s been a disappointing season for the 22-year-old, who got used to regular football at Chelsea under Antonio Conte last season, but the arrival of Sarri and his preference for David Luiz and Antonio Rudiger means Christensen has yet to set foot on a Premier League pitch this season.
