According to a claim in the Turkish media, Besiktas are showing interest in Rangers loanee Vaclav Cerny ahead of the transfer window.

The Czech Republic international joined the Ibrox club on loan from Wolfsburg last summer and has been one of the standout players this season under Philippe Clement and Barry Ferguson.

Takvim today report Besiktas have entered into transfer talks to sign the Rangers player as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to bolster his attacking options ahead of next season.

With current Besiktas president Serdal Adalı recently getting a vote of confidence, the Super Lig side are now concentrating on their summer transfer plans.

It’s claimed they are willing to offer up €9m for Cerny and that talks will continue with Wolfsburg. There are no reports if Rangers will provide competition to the Black Eagles in the race to sign the player, but they could be priced out a move for him.

Cerny has impressed for the Glasgow club since his arrival, scoring 17 goals in 44 games.

He’s contracted to Wolfsburg until June 2025 after signing for the Bundesliga club in 2023.
