Antonio Tikvić left Udinese to join Watford initially on loan in July of last year and the Hornets made his stay permanent the following month.
The 21-year-old played in two EFL Cup games and one more in the FA Cup and those are his only three appearances for Watford.
In the winter market, Watford let the centre-back join Austrian top flight club Grazer AK on loan, and he played regularly in the second half of the season.
As things stand, Tikvić has to return to Vicarage Road, but could soon move to Poland in the summer window. That’s at least what Pogonsportnet.pl are reporting, and they say he is the most serious target for Pogoń Szczecin.
The Polish club have prioritised signing a left footed centre-back and their focus is now on the Watford player. Pogoń Szczecin are looking to sign him on a permanent transfer and the report states they have already made an approach.
Pogonsportnet.pl states Pogoń Szczecin have made contact with Watford and ‘talks are already quite advanced’. They are working on taking Tikvić away from the Championship side.
Should Pogoń Szczecin be successful, the outlet says Tikvić will be their record signing. There’s no mention of the fee, but as per Transfermarkt, their current record is €900,000, paid for Efthymios Koulouris.
