Valencia have identified Norwich City’s Emi Buendía as an ‘alternative’ to Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Harry Winks, according to La Razón.
The England international earns €5.5m per season, but his desire to get out of the Premier League side in search of more minutes, to make it to the Euro 2020, could favour the La Liga side.
Los Ches ‘want’ the Spurs man on a temporary deal in the winter market, but the north London club demanding a loan fee ‘complicates the operation’. This was also reported by AS on Friday.
Tottenham asking compensation for Winks’ loan deal has seen Javi Gracia’s side look at other options and that’s where the Canaries player emerged as a target.
Buendía has experience of playing in La Liga from his time at Getafe, and Valencia had sounded out signing the Argentine in the past.
According to the report, the South American’s signing would be ‘quite affordable’ for the Spanish side.
Buendía has seven goals and six assists in 19 league appearances this season with Norwich.
