Club have ‘hurried negotiations’ in recent hours to sign Crystal Palace player quickly

Backing up the story, La Voz de Galicia, local to Celta, have their own take and make it sound like a transfer is very close indeed.

It’s explained the Galician club are ‘advancing’ to the sign the Dutchman and he can be their first signing of the January window.

Celta have been clear they need to sign a central defender in the winter market and it’s claimed that they’ve ‘hurried negotiations’ in recent hours to try and get a move over the line quickly.

It’s explained that having fallen down the pecking order under Roy Hodgson, Riedewald himself is keen on moving somewhere he can get regular games to ensure his career continues the way he wishes.

There’s no explanation of transfer fee so there’s a good chance La Voz de Galicia see this one as a loan, perhaps with some kind of signing option.
