Stoke City are asking for €9m for forward Bae Jun-Ho, a price that Feyenoord are hoping to bring down to get him this summer.

That’s according to South Korean journalist Jason (Hanshin) Lee, who reports that Stoke won’t even consider the player’s future before that figure is matched.

According to his information, Feyenoord are genuinely interested in the 20-year-old Stoke forward this summer and are attempting to tempt Bae into the move by offering Champions League football and improved wages.

1908 cover his report and add some information of their own, stating that insiders have made it clear that Bae is interested in playing for the Dutch club and the potential ‘adventure’ in the Champions League with them.

Feyenoord, in turn, are keen and believe that he fits perfectly with the new system they will be playing under new manager Brian Priske.

They add that, according to their sources, Feyenoord believe that Stoke can be talked into a deal for a lower fee than the €9m currently quoted.

Rather than such an upfront fee they could potentially take the overall fee to that figure by including bonuses and that €9m total is just the opening salvo. Upcoming negotiations are likely to provide more clarity on the matter and are seemingly planned for at some point.
