AmkSpor have claimed Fenerbahce are looking for a helping hand from Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil in their pursuit of Lucas Perez.
The Turkish newspaper believe the Arsenal playmaker has spoken with his teammate Perez, and told the Spaniard: “You can be a star in Turkey, the fans will love you there.”
Özil is a supporter of the Turkish, and he’ll reportedly advise Perez to join Fenerbahce. It’s been reported that Fenerbahce’s general manager Hasan Cetinkaya is now ready to fly to England for further talks with Arsenal, and the Turkish giants are hoping they can agree on a loan deal for the former Deportivo player.
It’s been well documented in the Turkish press that Perez would favour a move back to Spain, but AMK say he’s not gettingoffers from Spanish clubs who’ll be in Europe next season.
Fenerbahce remain confident of signing Perez as they could offer him first team football at a big club and also give him European competition.
Fenerbahce are ready to pay around €4m per year to the Arsenal player, which the likes of Betis and Levante can’t match.
