Besiktas are finalising their move for Everton midfielder Dele Alli and hope to have him in the stands for their clash with Fatih Karagümrük.
That’s according to Milliyet, who say it is a recommendation from former Everton striker Cenk Tosun which has led to the move happening.
They explain that Dele has ‘accepted the offer’ from Besiktas to join them on loan until the end of the season.
He will be paid €3m for the duration of the loan spell, around €62,500 a week, while Besiktas will not be paying a loan fee.
Whether Everton will be topping up his wages, which are said to be around £100,000 a week at Goodison Park, isn’t clear.
Either way, Besiktas have ‘shook hands’ on the deal and the Turkish side are aiming to bring him in by Sunday so he can watch the clash with Karagümrük from the stands.
The surprise move has been made possible by Dele’s willingness to it but also courtesy of Cenk Tosun, who gave ‘positive information’ about his former teammate.
He reportedly told Besiktas that Dele can ‘make great contributions’ this season and Besiktas have pushed ahead with a move thanks to that recommendation.
Things are now progressing quickly; with a hope it’ll be done by this weekend so Dele can watch his new side in action on Sunday.
