According to a claim in the Greek media, Olympiacos are still hopeful of completing a deal for Leicester City attacker Rachid Ghezzal before the transfer window closes.

The Algerian winger is expected to leave the Premier League club after becoming surplus to requirements under Brendan Rodgers, and previous reports said he’s a target for the Greek club.

However, the transfer window in Greece will close tomorrow and Pagenews.Gr claim Olympiacos may find it difficult to complete a deal for the Leicester City player.

The Athens club have already completed the transfer of Lille midfielder Yassine Benzia and Pagenews say Ghezzal ‘could be the icing on the cake’ for Olympiacos’ summer transfer window.

Earlier this week the club qualified for the Champions League group stages which could help convince the Leicester City man over a move.

Ghezzal has yet to make an appearance for the Foxes so far this season and he’s under contract with the club until June 2022.
