Gunes claim Fenerbahce are interested in signing Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana and the Turkish club are hopeful they will be able to complete a deal by the end of this week.
Lallana has previously been linked with Fenerbahce, and Gunes claim Fenerbahce sporting director Damien Comolli has flown to England to conclude the deal.
The Frenchman has close ties with Liverpool following his time at Anfield.
According to Gunes, Comolli has made progress with regards to bringing the player to Istanbul and now he’s hoping to finalise the deal in the coming days.
It’s also reported Fenerbahce manager Ersun Yanal is keen to work Lallana and the Turkish coach believes he could be the solution for the lack of creativity in his midfield.
The Super Lig side have struggled for form this season and they now find themselves in a relegation battle.
The 30 year old is under contract with Liverpool until June 2020 but has hardly figured this season, partly due to injury.
