Unhappy with the situation at Anderlecht, Fábio Silva saw his loan with the Belgian side cut short in January only to end up being loaned again by Wolverhampton Wanderers to PSV Eindhoven.
He seems far happier there, and the impact has been so positive, in fact, that the club are already hoping for the deal to be extended.
That’s according to Eindhovens Dagblad, relayed by PSV Fans, who look at what the summer could look like for the Eredivisie side.
They explain that the club need to work out whether the two loanees they have, Borussia Dortmund’s Thorgan Hazard and Wolves’ Silva, ‘will stay longer’.
That’s when they delve into a little bit more detail regarding the Portuguese striker, because they state he is currently leaving ‘positive impressions’ at PSV, and they even ‘hope to keep him longer’.
A lot will depend on what Julen Lopetegui’s plans are for Silva in the long run at Wolves, as the Spaniard may want him to play a big part in next season’s campaign.
If he does, then we doubt PSV will stand much of a chance, but if the Spanish manager decides it’s still best for the young forward to accumulate minutes elsewhere, then that’s all the Dutch side will need to make their move.
