Over the past couple of days, we’ve seen a few articles suggesting that Robin Olsen could stay at Everton.
The Swede has performed well when called upon and earned the respect and trust of Carlo Ancelotti along the way at Goodison Park, and while there has been no active movement from Marcel Brands to get a deal done, AS Roma wouldn’t mind their player staying on Merseyside a while longer.
It was reported on Tuesday that Tiago Pinto was in talks to try and get a deal sorted with the Premier League club, which Corriere dello Sport continue to push on Wednesday.
They state that Olsen is currently returning from his loan at Everton, but the Serie A side are ‘hoping the English will decide to keep him, at least for another year on loan’.
However, for now, ‘they have not received signals in that direction’.
Perhaps Everton will change their mind in the coming weeks, but, for now, it appears Olsen is on his way back to Rome, where Pinto and co. will have to find him a new club.
