According to Fotospor, Galatasaray have reached an agreement with Zenit St Peterburg’s Matias Kranevitter, but the Turkish side are stalling over sealing a deal because their primary target is Leicester City midfielder Nampalys Mendy.
We recently covered reports from Turkey with regards to Galatasaray’s interest in Mendy after it was reported the Super Lig club are looking for help from their former player Bafetimbi Gomis to convince the player over a move this summer.
It’s reported Galatasaray manager Fatih Terim has told the club’s board to wait for Mendy and the Turkish manager believes signing the Leicester City man will be a good piece of business.
Last season Mendy was a regular under former Leicester City boss Claude Puel but after Brendan Rodgers took charge his playing time dropped significantly.
The 27-year old made 31 league appearances for the Foxes during the last campaign and he’s under contract with Premier League side for another 12 months.
