Italian club Parma are holding further talks with Bayern Munich today in the hope of beating Everton to the signing of Joshua Zirkzee.
The Serie A side are believed to be fighting Everton for the Dutch youngster, who Bayern are willing to let go this month as he wants regular playing time.
Reports in Germany yesterday indicated that both clubs had made a formal bid for the striker, with it believed he will be heading out on loan with a €10m obligation/option when the loan expires.
It was later explained that Bayern had yet to accept either offer for their player and his future would be determined by them, with the player open to joining either side.
Parma are now pushing to make sure it is them, with Parma Live reporting that there will be ‘new contacts’ between Parma and Bayern today.
They also reveal that the Serie A side already have an ‘agreement in principle’ with Zirkzee, which we’re yet to hear about Everton as yet.
Indeed, it sounds as if the Toffees have work to do if they are as keen on Zirkzee as it sounds they are, with Parma very much pushing to be the winners of this particular race.
