Fanatik report Trabzonspor will use their option to sign Caleb Ekuban from Leeds United on a permanent deal and are now ready ready to sit down with the Championship side.
The Ghanaian striker is continuing to impress for the Turkish club, and he scored again in last weekend’s win against Antalyaspor.
According to Fanatik, Trabzonspor’s board held talks with Ekuban and his entourage before the game against Antalyaspor and the 24-year old has stated he wants to continue his career with the Turkish club.
According to Turkish newspaper, Trabzonspor will open talks with Leeds United and they are ready to activate the €1m redemption clause.
There have also been claims the Trabzon club could cash in on Ekuban once they sign him permanently.
Ekuban has been a revelation for Trabzonspor since joining on loan from Leeds last summer, which resulted in him being called up to the Ghana national team during the last international break.
The 25 year old has made 29 appearances for Trabzonspor this season and scored 8 goals.
