Takvim claim initial talks between Besiktas and Jose Izquierdo’s agent have taken place, with the Turkish club looking to loan the Brighton and Hove Albion player before the transfer deadline.
Last week we covered reports from Turkey that the 26-year old is a target for Besiktas and Takvim today claim transfer talks have been positive.
It’s reported the Black Eagles are in the market for a winger after Ryan Babel left the club last week and after reports Ricardo Quaresma could also leave, the Istanbul club will step up their pursuit of the Brighton player.
There are no reports if the Super Lig side have made an official offer to Brighton, but the situation could change quickly, with the deadline next week. The attacker has previously been linked with a move to Besiktas when he was playing for his former side Club Brugge.
Izquierdo has made 9 appearances for Brighton in the Premier League this season and is under contract with the Seagulls until 2021.
