Fiorentina have set their sights on Tottenham Hotspur’s Radu Drăgușin for the winter market, according to TuttoMercatoWeb.
The defender joined Tottenham from Genoa in January and was linked with a move back to Italy in the summer.
Recent claims have talked about Juventus and Napoli interest in the 22-year-old, but his agent, Florin Manea, has ruled out an exit from Tottenham in the mid-season window.
That hasn’t stopped Fiorentina from showing interest in the Romania international as TMW state they have ‘taken concrete steps’ to sign him. La Viola have made contact with the north London club for the centre-back, but Spurs haven’t yet responded.
Ange Postecoglou is currently without his first-choice centre-back pairing of Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero as both are on the sidelines due to injuries.
The Argentina international isn’t expected to return at least until the end of next month, while Ben Davies is also in Spurs’ treatment room. The trio’s injuries have seen Drăgușin feature regularly in recent weeks for Tottenham.
TMW state Tottenham’s injury situation could be an ‘obstacle’ for Fiorentina to sign the Romanian in the next window.
