Kepa Arrizabalaga’s future at Chelsea remains uncertain following the goalkeeper’s displays this season.
Two days ago, The Telegraph reported the Blues will consider signing a new keeper even if the Spain international decides to continue at the club.
It was explained Frank Lampard’s side have identified Barcelona’s Marc-André ter Stegen as one of their targets and are willing to include Kepa as part of the deal to lower the cost of the operation.
The Telegraph’s claims have been picked up Mundo Deportivo and they waste no time in dismissing the possibility of Chelsea signing the German.
It’s claimed those in charge at the Camp Nou have ‘no news of Chelsea’s interest’ in the 28-year-old and the La Liga side have reiterated the custodian is ‘non-transferable’.
Ter Stegen has two years left on his current deal and Barca have been trying to renew his contract.
According to Mundo, the Covid-19 crisis has slowed down the renewal talks, but both Barca and the player’s desire is to extend their association beyond 2022.
Sport have also echoed claims made by Mundo and state Barcelona will not hear any offers for their star.
The Catalan club’s priority is to secure Ter Stegen’s long-term future after this season and they want to tie him down ‘at least until 2025’.
