Sevilla aim to bring Leicester City’s Boubakary Soumaré back to the club this summer, according to Orgullobiri.

The 26-year-old spent the 2023/24 season on loan Sevilla, when the Foxes were in the Championship. He played 34 games for the La Liga club, who wanted to keep him for the 2024/25 season. Leicester returned to the Premier League and decided to retain him.

Soumaré then played 35 games for the English club, who have been relegated back to the Championship.

Orgullobiri report Sevilla have a ‘unique opportunity’ to take the midfielder, who is seen as an ideal target.

The former Lille man has just over a year left on his contract. This gives him an edge if he decides to leave the English club, as they will be forced to negotiate to avoid losing Soumaré for free in 2026.

Soumaré’s contractual situation at Leicester now provides Sevilla with a ‘great opportunity’ to secure his services.

Despite this, the report insists it won’t be easy for them due to their financial situations and competition from AS Roma and AS Monaco.

According to Orgullobiri, Sevilla are looking to buy the player for a reduced price or on loan with an option to buy. The latter wouldn’t make sense for Leicester, unless they extend his contract or ask for a purchase obligation.
