Juventus ‘would hardly say no’ to an offer from Manchester United for defender Gleison Bremer this summer, as it could help fund other deals.
That’s according to Corriere Torino, who say the Brazilian defender’s future needs to be clarified and he’s very much in Manchester United’s sights.
The Brazilian would ordinarily be a mainstay of the team but there is a clause in his contract meaning he can be signed for €60m from 2025. There is also an agreement between him and the club that an offer for that price this summer would be accepted.
Manchester United are known to be admirers of the defender and if they were to make a ‘convincing offer’ the Bianconeri ‘would hardly say no’.
That’s largely for budgetary reasons, as Juventus would use the money, they’d receive for the Brazilian to strengthen their squad, particularly in central midfield.
They’re looking at the likes of Teeun Koopmeiners and Ederson at Atalanta and may need to move for them if the likes of Weston McKennie and Adrien Rabiot depart.
Thus, the money from the sale of Bremer would be more than welcomed, it’s just up to Manchester United to actually make the offer for him.
They seem to have been edging towards doing so for a while and everyone at Juventus is waiting for it to happen, even perhaps encouraging it to happen at this point.
