It looks like Sporting have been given a boost in their saga to sign Adrien Silva back from Leicester City.

Portuguese newspaper A Bola brings a story on the situation today saying this is ‘the golden chance’ for the Lions to have their old captain back.

Adrien Silva’s contract with the Foxes expires at the end of next season, and according to the article, the Premier League side would accept negotiating his sale for an amount which Sporting can afford.

Besides that, A Bola mentions the good relationship between the two clubs, and the fact that Silva would fancy a return to his old club, especially because that would improve his chances with the national team.

However, Sporting aren’t the only club who will try to sign him.

French side Monaco, who have had the midfielder on a loan since 2018, are also pretty happy to have him the squad. A Bola says there’s also another club from Ligue 1 who are interested in the 31-year-old.
