It seems Southampton are really digging their heels in when it comes to releasing Mislav Orsic, who only arrived at St Mary’s in January.
The Croatia international was meant to bring hope back to the south coast in the second half of the season after his move from Dinamo Zagreb, but he ended up hardly playing, which is why talk of an exit has been rife.
Trabzonspor in Turkey have been the keenest, but Southampton’s reluctance to agree to their terms has led the Turkish side to look elsewhere for an alternative, according to Sabah.
The outlet explain the Süper Lig side ‘want to add’ Orsic to their attack, but they have ‘not yet made any progress’ regarding the loan deal they want.
That’s why they’ve turned their attention to François Kamano as the one to fall back on if they can’t get Southampton to budge.
Orsic remains their ‘priority’, but ‘more concrete steps’ will be taken to sign the Guinean free agent should the newly relegated club refuse to let the Croatian leave on a temporary deal in the coming weeks.
